Dandruff/Scalp: Some dandruff is due to a zinc deficiency in your diet. Some dandruff is growing dandruff. Some dandruff and flaking are more severe.
Solutions for Dandruff:
1. Use dandruff shampoos that fight flaking scalp and itching

2. Visit a dermatologist. Inquire of a prescription of a medicated shampoo especially for dandruff.
3. Visit a Trichologist: This is a certified hair and scalp specialists who will help identify the underlying problem of flaking. Sometimes meaning a poor diet, changes in body chemistry, health problems, and wrong shampoos.
Alopecia: There are several forms of alopecia. A Dermatologist or Trichologist can treat all forms of alopecia.
Alcoholic Beverages: Too many alcoholic beverages dries out your hair and cause constant breakage.
Balding: Is caused by stress, medications, changes in body chemistry, a thyroid problem, menopause, terminal illness, and scalp fungus.
Birth Control: Some forms of birth control cause hair loss.
Blow-drying: Blow drying your hair too often can damage your hair and cause severe breakage and dryness. Use a thermal heat guard before you add heat to your hair.
Breakage: Junk foods can slow down hair growth, and cause your hair to constantly dry out and break.
Braiding: Pulling the hair up tightly from the scalp will cause severe balding. Not taking care of braid extensions will cause severe breakage. Braid extensions need braid spray because braid extensions pull moisture from your hair.
Diets: Not having enough vitamins & minerals in your diet can cause balding SEE FOODS.

Hair Oils and Greases: Light waxed hair oils or hair foods are ok, heavy waxy products on the scalp clogs the pores. Use light crèmes or oils with tea tree oil as an ingredient to keep a healthy scalp. Avoid Cholesterols on your scalp if you have severe flaking.
Medications: See if your medication is causing your hair loss.
