This review of your product is loooonnnngggg overdue. I love the Afro-Detangler Leave-In Conditioner! I have been wearing my hair natural for 4 months after transitioning for 11. I did a lot of research on products that should be used on natural hair as well as the care of it. I found your website and frequently returned back for information. I requested a sample of the Afro-Detangler back in April of 2012 for my 3 daughters and I used it on our range of 3c to 4c hair. I loved the way it made our hair feel! After I tried it...I knew this conditioner would be a staple product for me and girls. Our hair is soft, healthy, and easier to manage since using your product. It smells great too! Keep making it and selling it and I'll keep buying and using it! :-)

This is our third 1/2 gallon of The AFRO DETANGLER conditioner. I always buy it for my daughter who is 4 years old and I always recommend it to others. This last us a year. If there's anyone out there afraid to buy the big bottle, put your fears to rest. This detangler is worth every dime.I highly recommend it.

Just a note to let you-and the world know how much I LOVE your Afro Detangler product. It is an excellent detangler, conditioner, and styling product--really helps simplify life and get rid of all the other inferior products that we "product junkies" have a tendency to collect in our relentless quest for the "real deal." The Afro Detangler is the real deal.
I love the botanical, earth-friendly ingredients and the compatibility of the product with the environment as well as its suitability for human use (no offensive or overpowering smells, etc.). I actually use this product to assist a "wet set" of my short, natural hair. The next day I can enjoy beautiful and natural-looking ringlets or curls that gently "evolve" over the next day or so.
I appreciate that I can maintain a good style without having to further damage my hair with heat or chemicals. The Afro Detangler provide excellent conditioning, imparts much-needed moisture, as well as enables natural styling.
I might add that this product also works as an excellent body lotion! Yep--what's good for the hair is often great for the body, and the Afro Detangler is a prime example of a dual-function, cross-over product. Sisters, if you use this product quite as liberally as I do, wipe any excess on your BODY instead of a towel--see how soft and moisturized your skin feels afterward.
A great, all-around product. I'm so happy to be able to clear out all other imposters--this is the real deal.

Using A Stocking Cap
Dear Robin:
I just wanted to share with you how I've been using this product. After washing and conditioning my locs, I saturate my damp hair with your product, pile my locs on top of my head in a scrunched up fashion, put a stocking cap on, then let it dry overnight. When I took my cap off in the morning, my locs are wavy, bouncy and soft! This is an excellent product to also keep my locs from wanting to grab on to each other. I like how I can keep applying it on a daily basis without getting an oily buildup. By the way, my locs seem to not be as fuzzy looking when I wrap my hair up with your product. I don't know how that happened, but I'm very pleased with the results, as my locs look so much neater! I thank you for an excellent product and my locs are thanking you too!

I just received my Afro detangler and I love it. I already see a difference in my hair. This product works great on wet as well as dry hair. It gives my hair a nice natural sheen and not a greasy look. The product is light and does not weigh my natural kinky hair down. Dear Robin I am a long time follower of your website (5 years) and had always thought that applying braid extensions was something I could never do. I had tried so many times in the past and always ended up with a mess with the braid extension really loose starting halfway down my hair. I was so tired of spending a fortune on long individual braids at a salon and never having it done exactly the way I wanted that I decided to give your instruction video a go - it couldn't hurt after all. OMG!!! I previously used Mizani relaxers for the last 3 years and I just switched to using boxed perms since this past February. I absolutely love the feeling of my hair after I flat iron with the AFRO DETANGLER I have found that my hair is easier to get into a ponytail. After I apply the detangler; it loosens the tightly coiled roots.
So in a nut shell my hair is still moist and soft when I flat iron using the AFRO DETANGLER

Subject: Product Review-GREAT PRODUCT (AFRO DETANGLER)
I HAVE to write a review for this product, b/c this product is the ONLY one that has worked on my hair. I have long, thick, kinky hair and cannot afford to get it done at the hairdressers. It takes 3 hours for me to do my hair, start (wash) to finish (flat ironing). I no longer relax my hair so getting the comb through my roots can be a pain. One section in particular is very thick and is a hassle to detangle and I’ve always dreaded handling that section, especially when I go to blow dry. Over the years I have bought so many products for various reasons and none of them had achieved what was promised. My hair also tends to be on the dry side. This product is AMAZING! I normally pull out a lot of hair when detangling may hair after I shampoo. With the Afro Detangler, I barely pulled out any hair and what I did pull out, it was because I’m so used to having to yank the comb through my hair. Another major bonus is that it took LESS time blow-drying than normal. (When you have to keep stopping to get a knot or tangle out, it gets time consuming.) The “final exam” came when I got to that particular thick section of hair. My facial expression in the mirror was comical! I could not believe that the comb did not get stuck on any tangles or knots. This product really works and the FLAT IRONING CREME is amazing as well. My hair is actually moisturized without leaving any type of residue on my hands or anything else. Thank you SO much! I am 26 years old and after years of dealing with hair, you tend to lose hope. Now I don’t have to be disappointed about not being able to get it done at a salon. I can do it myself with healthier results. I am so thankful. I do appreciate my hair because it is what God has blessed me with, but now I can really take care of it the way I should. I actually look forward to blow-drying it now! If I’m babbling it’s because I am not used to ANY hair products doing what they are supposed to do on my hair. I’ve always seemed to be on the losing end of those battles. I have never shared any hair secrets or recommendations about my hair b/c nothing ever worked. I just wanted to let you know that your AFRO DETANGLER LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER is the best hair conditioner I've ever used in my life. I have long, very thick, all natural hair, and when I shampoo it, it coils into very tight curls. My hair type is 4a 4b and all natural. I ordered the product about one month ago and I took this product to my hair stylist for her to try it out on my hair. She flipped out and couldn't believe how easy it was to comb through my hair! I go to a hair salon in Los Angeles. My stylist washes my hair, sets it on large rollers and places me under the dryer for about 1 -1 1/2 hours, then she blows it out using a round brush. one of the owners, mentioned that she definitely plans on contacting you regarding the conditioner.

When I began using your products my hair was so thin that you could see my scalp when I attempted a ponytail. In addition, my scalp was always sore to the touch. I thought I was doomed to be a bald woman. However, when I began using your products that all changed. I am so impressed with both the SCALP OIL and the SUPER HIGH POTENCY HAIR VITAMINS AND MINERALS. As you know, I was skeptical about ordering the AFRO DETANGLERwithout ever trying it because it only came in one huge bottle. Well, I must say that after using it for almost a month now, I am glad you sell it in such a big size. I love it. Unlike a lot of products that I have tried in the past, this one does exactly what it says: strengthens, moisturizes and DETANGLES without any flaky residue or buildup. I have been using it exactly as suggested and it has transformed my natural hair making it even more beautiful, soft, manageable and tangle free! I will certainly order more of this product long before I run out because I know it takes time to ship! You guys definitely know what you are doing by selling it in an economy size and you certainly know the needs of natural coily/curly hair! I couldn't be happier that I purchased it. I just wanted to let you know that I tried the FLAT IRONING CREME. and it is AMAZING. My hair is silky and soft. I LOVE THE AFRO DETANGLER!!!... Yesterday, I wore a head wrap and although I use 100% pure shear butter in my hair, my hair was still pretty tangled but I wanted to test the claims and promises of the Afro Entangle on my dry, kinky 4A hair...my hair is EXTREMELY coily (girl, my coils look like little, black "s" so you can imagine what combing it is like ...which is why, I don't!)...I put it on the back of my hair (that "kitchen", girl!), waited 3-4 minutes and Robin, I 'bout DIED when my wide-toothed comb just GLIDED through my kinky hair like a pressing comb!!!...it was AMAZING!!!... I love the Afro Detangler! I washed and conditioned my daughter's natural (4B, 9 inch long) hair this past weekend. I have always washed her hair in thick braids because her hair is so thick, and this method makes it more manageable. (So, thank you for sharing this method with everyone!) I used the Afro Detangle as a leave in conditioner. Then, after taking each wet braid out, I put a little more Afro Dentangle on each wet braid, and used my fingers to de tangle. Wow! Then, I followed with a wide-tooth comb. Her hair was so soft. I blew her hair dry, using a little more Afro Detangler before blow-drying each section. I have also been using a little nightly before braiding her hair. Each morning, when I make her "afro puffs", I'd squeeze the puff with a small amount of the Afro Detangler. Her hair is so moist and not oily! Previously, I was using hair oils, pomades, etc. but the puffs were always so dry. It also softens her "kitchen" (area at the nape of the neck), which usually gets tangled easily. This product is wonderful. Thank you!

I am so happy that you allowed us all to see this free. I had no idea how simple it was to apply braid extensions. I have been practicing and can see how you got your hair so long and full. My cousin purchased the video last year. Her hair is down her back and is SOO healthy. I have grown my hair to the middle of my back. I did this without braids.
I achieved this by keeping it clean, deeply conditioned and wearing it in a bun.
I wear a silk scarf at night to protect my hair when I go to sleep.
I noticed somewhere on your site stating that hair buns break off the hair.
Although my hair is long, is it bad to wear a bun?
I have had no adverse reactions hair wise.

I have been washing my hair since February through March by twisting it up first before I wash, condition, and dry. WOW it's a miracle. I have YANKED out so much hair at the beginning because I didn't know how to handle my natural hair after 15 years of relaxing, and that process just works.
I hope one day you get known worldwide for your hair technique. Many people from India have a system of how to take care of their hair, which they pass down to their children. This is a system all people of African descent should be aware of to pass down from generation to generation.

Just to want to let you know that I took out my braids yesterday and I was shocked at the amount of new growth I had! Not only that, my hair was soft and silky and most importantly clean! Dear Robin, I just recently purchased your Flat Ironing Creme. Before I used it, I would curl my relaxed hair with a salon-brand curling wax that contained Petrolatum, Paraffin Wax, and Mineral Oil. After using that, it would take 3-4 days for my hair to lay the way I wanted it to. By that time, I had to wash my hair again! But when I used your Flat Ironing Creme, my hair felt so soft and silky, and it left no residue. Plus, when I wrapped my hair and took it out the next morning, my hair looked beautiful!! I don't do the braids, but have implemented the right foods, your vitamins, hair washing/drying techniques and noticed since April 2004 that my hair has grown over 4 inches! Hello, I would just like to say that your hair growing regimen is actually true. During my 4 months of pregnancy, I began having my hair braided between sm/med individuals and sm/med cornrows. My hair was short in a inverted bob, being located in Hawaii, it was best-even after pregnancy and I kept the braids for 2 years off and on. My hair is now down my back between my shoulder blades. If readers don't believe, they should read my testimony and believe. But I stress, it needs to be a great hair braider who knows what they are doing. Also they must use the recommended braid spray, the shampoo, and the leave in conditioner.

Hi Robin, Just had to email you and thank you for sharing your crown and glory technique. Since I took out the braids, I have been wearing my natural hair out. I have received so many compliments about how nice, full, and thick my hair looks. It took a little while for me to see how well the crown and glory technique was working, but I can seriously say that it works. This is thickest, fullest, and prettiest my hair has ever been. Now, I got everybody at my house wanting to go natural.

I am writing today not only to thank you for your answers to my earlier email, but to thank you for sharing the system. I shampooed and deep conditioned my hair for the first today, using the Crowning Glory Technique. First, it wasn't nearly as time consuming as I thought it would be-just less than 3 hours. When I went to the salon I would be lucky to get out of there in 3 hours!! Furthermore, I admit that I am accustomed to using the more expensive conditioners, However, I am now a believer. My hair is 100% natural and that cholesterol made de tangling the easiest it has ever been (even when my hair was relaxed). My hair feels so soft and shiny (I was always told that black hair just doesn't have "sheen"). I noticed a change in the manageability and condition of my hair already. I have never written a "testimony" about any products or techniques (mostly because I have never been impressed enough to do so). However, this is a very special case. God has blessed you with insight on how to care for "our" hair and I just wanted to encourage you to keep being teacher and a role model.
